Galaxy Alpha: Full Specifications

Samsung approached the Galaxy Alpha as a more fashion-conscious take on the Galaxy formula, and the result is a notably slim handset that combines a metal frame with gently curved corners and a soft-touch back. At 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm and 115 g, it remains easy to handle and pocket, while the 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display keeps the device comfortably compact without losing the rich contrast Samsung screens were known for. The panel carries an HD resolution of 1280 x 720, and the phone pairs it with 2 GB of RAM and either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage depending on the version, with no microSD expansion. Its main 12 MP camera supports features such as HDR, panorama and selective focus, and it can record UHD 4K video at 30 fps, while the 2.1 MP front camera covers basic selfies and video calls. Connectivity includes LTE Cat 6, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and USB 2.0, and the phone also includes a fingerprint sensor, heart-rate sensor and Ultra Power Saving Mode. A 1,860 mAh battery completes a device aimed at users who preferred a smaller Android phone without giving up a premium feel.
