Moto G Fast: Full Specifications

The Moto G Fast is a budget-friendly Motorola handset built around a large 6.4-inch Max Vision IPS display with HD+ resolution and a hole-punch selfie camera. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and 3 GB of RAM keep everyday tasks moving smoothly, while 32 GB of internal storage can be expanded with a microSD card up to 512 GB, which helps the phone stay practical for photos, apps, and offline media. Photography is handled by a versatile triple rear camera setup that combines a 16 MP main camera with laser autofocus, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera, plus an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The 4000 mAh battery is sized for full-day use, and the phone also keeps useful basics such as a rear fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB-C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Motorola also describes the design as water repellent rather than waterproof, adding a bit of everyday durability. Altogether, the Moto G Fast focuses on essential smartphone features with a clean design and broad day-to-day functionality.

Pros

  • Speed: Obviously, a phone with the word "Fast" in its title boasts impressive speeds. Texting, scrolling, and overall usage on the Moto G Fast feels instant and engaging.
  • Design: For the price, Motorola delivers a very aesthetically pleasing device. Its large display and "punch-hole" notch all look great, and allow for more interaction with the device's screen.

Cons

  • Sacrifices: The Moto G Fast's Achilles' heel is its weak specs. We understand that it has to make some sacrifices to achieve its speedy performance, but it leaves us wanting more as users. Its camera, resolution, memory and storage could all use significant improvement, which leaves the phone feeling not very well-rounded.
