Galaxy A12: Full Specifications

Built around everyday practicality, the Samsung Galaxy A12 uses a large 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display and a textured body with rounded sides that make this bigger handset easier to hold than its size suggests. Its octa-core platform is paired with memory and storage configurations that can go up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, with microSD expansion up to 1 TB for photos, downloads and offline media. The rear camera system combines a 48 MP main camera with 5 MP ultra wide, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth sensors, while the 8 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Video capture reaches 1080p, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor keeps unlocking quick and simple. The Galaxy A12 also covers the basics well with dual SIM support on supported versions, USB-C, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and satellite positioning support including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. A 5,000 mAh battery is one of its strongest features, and Samsung pairs it with up to 15 W fast charging for a phone designed to keep going through a long day.

Pros

  • Design: Despite not being one of Samsung's premium phones, the A12 still looks great. Its subtle notch and long screen are very visually appealing.
  • Price: You can expect to purchase a new Galaxy A12 for around $250 CAD, which is much less than most of Samsung's new devices.

Cons

  • Lack of features: Sadly, the A12 lacks many features that consumers come to expect from Samsung devices. With no rapid charging, night vision, or 5G compatibility, the Galaxy A12 may not be right for you if these kinds of features are important to you.
